We could, of course, demand that the feds issue strict guidelines, follow the money and ensure that civil liberties are not being abused thorough rigorous oversight and accountability. Needless to say, there is no leadership from the top about this. Bush's choice to head the CIA is another guy who says "trust us" we're good people who would never do anything wrong.
